CardPointe donation forms for nonprofits and fundraisers
Accept donations through your CardPointe merchant account on a Maxforms form. Keep the payment and the customer’s answers in the same workflow.
Give donors a clear amount choice
Use Custom when donors should enter an amount, or Multiple for preset gifts. Keep the campaign or fund selection as a separate form answer.
Ask for an email address if you need to acknowledge the gift. Keep optional marketing consent separate from the payment and provide your organization’s own receipt wording.

Set up CardPointe donations

Connect the gateway account
Open Integrations, select Connect on CardPointe, and enter your gateway credentials. Maxforms verifies the account before connecting.

Choose the Payment account
Add a Payment field to the form and select the intended CardPointe account.

Set the amount and collect context
Choose Custom or Multiple under How much to charge. Choose Custom for a donor-entered amount or Multiple for preset gifts. Collect donor contact and campaign choices as separate fields.

Publish and test
Test a donor-entered amount or each preset gift. Confirm the donor details, campaign, and final payment status before sending an acknowledgement.
Keep payment details in the Payment field
Use the Payment field for card entry. Do not ask respondents to type card numbers or security codes into ordinary text fields.
CardPointe processes the transaction on your merchant account. Maxforms does not hold the funds. Review your own merchant agreement for settlement terms and processing costs.
Review the response and payment together
Use notifications, Google Sheets, Zapier, or webhooks for additional follow-up. These tools are optional; they are not required to connect CardPointe.

Frequently asked questions
01Can donors choose their own CardPointe donation amount?
Yes. Choose Custom on the Payment field. Use Multiple instead if you want donors to select from preset amounts.
02Does a payment confirmation make a donation tax-deductible?
No. Your organization determines eligibility and supplies any required donation receipt or tax wording. A payment confirmation records the transaction.
03Do I need Zapier to collect a CardPointe payment?
No. Connect CardPointe directly in Maxforms, then choose the account on the Payment field. Other integrations are optional follow-up tools.
