Accept form payments with Authorize.net

Connect your Authorize.net merchant account to Maxforms, add a Payment field, and collect card payments with the customer details your business needs.

What you need before connecting

Use an active Authorize.net merchant account and its API Login ID, Transaction Key, and Signature Key.

These are API credentials, not your Merchant Interface password. If you rotate keys used by another system, update that system as well.

Connect Authorize.net and take a payment

  1. 01

    Get the API credentials

In the Authorize.net Merchant Interface, open Account and API Settings, then API Credentials and Keys. Follow the linked guide for the classic interface.

  2. 02

    Connect in Maxforms

Open Integrations, find Authorize.net, and select Connect. Enter the API Login ID, Transaction Key, and Signature Key.

  3. 03

Choose the account on your form

Add a Payment field and select the Authorize.net account under Payment account. Set the Payment description and amount.

  4. 04

    Publish and test

Publish the form, complete the payment flow, and confirm both the response and payment status before sharing the form widely.

Keep payment status connected to the response

Maxforms verifies your account credentials and registers an Authorize.net webhook during connection. Payment updates can then stay associated with the form response.

The payment is processed on your merchant account. Maxforms does not hold the funds, and you remain responsible for the transaction with your customer.

Use the current connection and fraud-setting guides

Connect Authorize.net covers the credential screens, connection errors, and Payment field.
