Give customers access to the portal

Explain portal sign-in, recovery, memberships, bookings, receipts, and billing access.

The customer portal lets a verified customer manage records connected to their email in one workspace. Keep the service form's customer email field required and always visible.

Maxforms enables Services for your workspace on request; there is no switch to turn it on yourself. If you do not see Services in the sidebar, contact support.

The portal recognizes supported bookings and subscriptions after they exist. A permitted team member can use Resend portal link from the customer or subscription record.

How customers sign in#

  1. Open the portal sign-in page.
  2. Enter the address used for the booking.
  3. Select Email me a sign-in link.
  4. Open the link or enter the six-character code from the same email.

The link and code expire after 15 minutes and work once. Five incorrect code attempts invalidate that code. A signed-in portal session lasts 30 days.

The portal can list several memberships and standalone future bookings for the same email and workspace. Customers can also view stored invoice links where available.

Eligible Stripe subscriptions can open Stripe's billing portal to change a payment method. That access is not available for every provider or record.

Some email services inspect links before delivery. The code from that email remains the recovery path unless it expired or exhausted its attempts.
