Use a recurring payment without Appointment Booking for retainers and other ongoing services. Stripe handles the billing cycle, while Maxforms provides the customer and subscription record.
Your workspace needs Services access before you use this setup.
Set the billing cycle#
- Connect Stripe to the workspace.
- Add a required Email field.
- Add Payment.
- Choose a connected Stripe account under Payment account.
- Choose Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly under How often.
- Set Interval count.
- Set Product name.
- Set Amount.
- Leave the form without an Appointment Booking field.
- Select Save changes.
- Publish the form.
Stripe supports interval counts for billing-only and session-credit subscriptions. For example, monthly with interval count 3 bills every three months.
Recurring payments use Charge at submit. Invoice after review is unavailable until you change How often to One time.
The customer completes Stripe subscription checkout after submitting the form. Their portal can show membership status, stored invoices, and Stripe billing management without appointment or credit controls.
The response can complete and trigger submission integrations before subscription checkout succeeds. Confirm subscription status before treating a downstream contact or row as a paying customer.
If the form has a booking field, then choose a recurring booking setup#
A recurring payment cannot publish with a one-time booking. Use either weekly recurring appointments or session credits. Weekly is the supported cycle for a fixed appointment; contact support before choosing biweekly or monthly.
